Our Team

The team members at UK IT Networks all work with the same ethos, our clients come first. A customer focus and driven collective group of individuals differentiate us from the rest of the telecommunications industry. We relish the challenge to provide solutions which aren’t out of the box but are outside of the box.

UK IT Networks is forever adapting and always looking at new ways to make our customers more productive by offering the right future proof and resilient products to them.

The aim is always to deliver an honest, personable, charismatic and well supported service. After all, partnering with the right communications company is not a ‘one off’ purchase, it’s an investment in a long term relationship. Today, our clients include some of the most respected brands within the UK and Europe and I am 100% confident that it’s simply down to a great team who are given the right tools and the hunger to deliver nothing short of excellence.

What Goes On At UK IT Networks?

Ram Moetamedi

Managing Director

Ram founded UK IT Networks in 2012 after the communications company he had worked at for the last 8 years in a key account management role was successfully acquired. Seeing an opportunity for a service driven telecommunications business in the UK, he set off on his new venture with co-owner Guy. ‘I honestly had no idea of the success we’d find, we just knew how to take ownership through knowledge and ingrained that in our culture’. With over 15 years in telecommunications, Ram actively plays a key role in developing account management and new business sales. He’d rather get around a table with clients than spend time at his desk. He pins the company’s success down to the solid core team the business is built around.


Outside of the office, Ram enjoys hitting the gym most mornings before work, starting his day on a treadmill. Keen to play Badminton, Squash and (by his own admission) Golf very badly. He enjoys getting out with clients to continually get their feedback. Whilst weekdays are busy, his weekends are reserved for his family.

Guy Hickton

Channel Director

Guy Co-founded UK IT Networks in 2012 bringing experience within the sales & management telephony industry. Guy started his career working for BT where he gained a wealth of knowledge within the Telephony industry working for them for 6 years.

Over the past 7 years at UK IT Networks Ltd, Guy has spent most of his time working with the Associate Partners by helping to maximise their existing clients’ services and bring on new Associate Partners.

Guy also enjoys continuing to sell direct and being at the forefront of the company’s sales. Not afraid to go back to basics, he sets a sound example by demonstrating his success and becoming an active participant in generating new business for the company.

Outside (and sometimes inside) of work, Guy likes to get out on the golf course as he is a keen golfer. However, Saturdays are always reserved for Father/Daughter time.

Hayley Plant

Head Of Sales

Bringing a wealth of experience of contact centre management, Hayley joined UK IT Networks in 2016 as a Business Development Manager. Demonstrating a natural aptitude for sales she quickly progressed to Head of Sales.

Hayley is responsible for managing the sales team and activities for the company. As well as this, she also manages a select  number of customers and when she isn’t out visiting them, she will be involved in generating new business for the company and assisting the team with their opportunities.

Outside of work, Hayley is a keen traveller and loves visiting different countries, especially ones with warmer weather. Additionally, she is a keen horse racing fan and lover of live music gigs and festivals.

Dave Walker

Product Manager

Dave was an early addition to the UK IT team, joining in the first half 2013. Having previously worked with Ram and Guy, he was invited to join the business as it began to grow in order to help provide training and support to the team and customers.

With a career in telecoms that spans over 15 years, there are few roles Dave has not worked in, including: Telemarketing (his first venture in to the industry), Channel Management and Account Management.

As UK IT Networks’ Product Manager, Dave has a unique role that bridges between sales and support. His time is balanced between providing technical pre-sales support to the sales team and helping on-board new customers with training and support.

Away from the office, Dave spends his time with his family and loves taking his daughters rock climbing. An avid motorsports fan, he loves travelling to racing circuits around the UK to spectate and tries to find time to get beaten by Ram at Squash.

Paul Humphreys

Technical Manager

Paul’s first job was a weekend paper round for Chadwick’s news agent in Warsop. There has not been a time since then, apart from a one week break between jobs, when he has not been employed. Paul takes this level of diligence into everything he does. He qualified as a Mining Engineer and has the degree to prove it, but whilst at university Paul discovered computers and has never looked back.

Paul likes anything techy or with an engine and spends a lot of his personal time doing PA and technical stuff for his local CofE church. It’s great running a concert where everyone is coming out with a huge grin because the artists sounded amazing. Paul also loves his motorbike, but doesn’t get to ride it as often as he would like to.

On the work side, Paul is a qualified Avaya engineer and sales person and loves fixing people’s problems. There is nothing he likes more than being a ‘smarty pants’. Paul also has many years experience dealing with deskside support, server support and networking.

Ian McCann

Finance Manager

Ian is a recent addition to the UK IT Networks team, joining as our Finance Manager after more than ten years in the Civil Engineering / Construction industry. He brings a wealth of experience, mainly in high value project accounting work for blue chip corporations including Siemens, Balfour Beatty and Costain and is looking forward to ‘getting into the nitty gritty’ of the complexities of Telecoms retail. By his own admission, his main attributes are a keen eye for detail and a desire for continual improvement.

‘Accountancy is often seen as an unwanted expense within a company, but if done collaboratively can add value to a business’.

Outside of work, Ian is a dedicated family man whose idea of bliss is relaxing on the sofa for family movie night. For hobbies, Ian plays Softball (for which he has represented teams for over ten years), is a self-confessed film addict and loves making things from wood.
